HI everyone,

I am having a lot of troubles with amiback and my tape drive.  I always
get a scsi bus lock, where my hard drive and tape drive both freze up.

I install a 040 board and that is when the troubles begain ( I think) I
did have trouble with it before I installed the board but that was the
day before.  but I did manage to get it to back up and I did have a ton
of 'hardware scsi errors' during the back up.  I did one partion today
and it went fine.  then I tried to do a differnt one, and it worked up
until it started to back up.  I did a append to the one that I got a
suscesful backup. It rewinds the tape and then asks for a overwrite or a
append and I choice append and it goes off and when it finds the end of
the one that it is skipping, it will just lock up when it starts to back up?

I have set it to Syc.  I am read the manual and see which one I should
use.  I thought that may be the problem since it fail before and now once
I switch it worked.

What can I do?  Is it a combo of Amiback and tape or is it just the tape
or what?  I dont know and I would like to back up.  I think my power
supply is going so I just want to make a back up weekly.
